Public transport in Riga

There are 3 kinds of public transport in Riga - buses, trollies and trams.

When you arrive to Riga, you can buy one-trip ticket at the driver (0.70 Ls) or go to ticket trading spots ("Narvesen" shops, for example) and buy the yellow ticket for 5 trips (2.50 Ls), 10 trips (4.75 Ls) or 20 trips (9.00 Ls), you can use it all 3 kinds of transport.

When you will have done all the registration process, you will be able to use a personalised ticket with a student discount. Go to one of the trading spots with the blue card (with your photo on it). You can pay for any number of trips at the cost of 0.25 Ls for each trip or buy a monthly ticket.
Monthly tickets for students (each ticket lasts for 30 days since it has first been used):
only one route, for example trolley 15. - 7.80 Ls
all trollies or all buses or all trams - 11.70 Ls
two kinds of transport, for example all trams and trollies 14.30 Ls
all kinds of transport - buses, trollies, trams - 18.40 Ls

In all transport except bus 22 (it comes from the airport) you must buy a luggage ticket for each luggage unit that is bigger than 20x40x60cm. You can buy it at the driver, it costs 0.80 Ls.
